1. Do EarthyGlow products come in different colors or tints? 

No. The EarthyGlow concept is ensuring the most natural and "organic" products available. At this time there are no all natural color dyes available and using a synthetic color dye is not something EarthyGlow is willing to compromise on. For instance, our Soy Lotion Candles contain only soybeans and fragrance oil. That's it - pure and simple. They do not contain additives, such as uv inhibitors, preservative, or color dyes. There are benefits other than the obvious to this way of thinking. Have you ever really liked a certain scent of a candle but the color did not match your room decor? With EarthyGlow products, they come in there natural form, free from color dyes and can be moved from place to place without the worry of clashing with various color schemes.

2. How long should I allow my candle to burn on the first lighting?

It varies. This can be a technical question but one of the most important ones in regards to getting the most benefit and burning hours from your candle. The first lighting is the most important. If you do not allow your candle burn as far as it will reach, it will tunnel and not burn completely down the glass.  Usually it takes anywhere from 3 to 4 hours. EarthyGlow candles burn very cool, only a couple degrees above body temperature, so it will take a little while. Because of the cooler burn, your EarthyGlow Soy Lotion Candle will last longer. Subsequent burns will liquefy faster. Be patient and enjoy!

3. I am a retailer, where is the best place to display my EarthyGlow Soy Lotion Candles?

As with any candle, they should not be place in a window or in direct sunlight. This will cause fading and discoloration over time. A cool place away from the sunlight is best.

4. How can I get the most from my EarthyGlow Soy Lotion Candle?

First and most important, allow it to burn all the way across the first time (3 to 4 hours). Second, keep away from drafts and extreme temperatures. Extinguish your candle after 4 hours, allow it to harden completely and then light it again.

5. My candle has a "rough" appearance on top, why?

A "rough" top or mottled top is a natural characteristic of all natural soy candles. They may even exhibit slight flakyness as well. This is completely normal.

6. When I received my candle there was droplets of oil/fragrance on top, why?

EarthyGlow Soy Lotion Candles are made from soybean oil. Various weather temperatures and humidity can cause this to happen. No need to worry. You can go ahead and light your candle and burn it as you normally would. This is strictly an appearance issue and not a performance problem.

7. What is the shelf life of an EarthyGlow Soy Lotion Candle?

Because EarthyGlow Soy Lotion Candles contain no additives or preservatives, they need to be used within a reasonable amount of time.

8. Are your products tested on animals?

No. Absolutely not. Never.

9. My wick "dog ears", why?

EarthyGlow uses only all-cotton wicks. We do not use zinc cored wicks. For this reason, the wick will become soft once lit. As it burns, you can use a non-flammable tool to help straighten and position so that while the candle is burning it will be in the center and the candle will burn more evenly. Also, always make sure to trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each lighting.

10. Are EarthyGlow Soy Lotion Candles safe to use on my skin?

As with any product for the skin, you should test a small area for sensitivity. All of our fragrance oils are body SAFE. You can use your soy lotion anywhere you would apply any other mositurizer or lotion. Always extinguish the flame first.
